A helpful ally and co-conspirator not only sees and understands the various dimensions of diversity but also shares the sense of urgency for things to change. And perhaps most significantly, allies and co-conspirators desire to be engaged in the process of bringing about change and/or supporting those who are working to bring about change.

One of the hoped for outcomes of our writing and publishing Diversity Playbook: Recommendations and Guidance for Christian Organizations was for more opportunities to help individuals and organizations. But, wait Michelles, didn’t you all say that doing DEI work was tiring and exhausting. Why, yes we did. But, we also said that people doing this work need helpful allies and co-conspirators. Knowing this, we are committed to providing opportunities for people leading diversity efforts (or trying to) to connect with others and with us. How? well, just keep reading.

Authors Chats: Our next live chat will be Thursday, February 3rd. Join us (Michelle and Michelle) at 7:00pm Eastern for an hour on zoom . We enjoy talking with our readers and answering your questions. On the third, we are particularly interested in talking about how your organizations are doing and about the challenges you have been facing since COVID. But, we are opening to talking about anything that is on your mind.

CCCU International Forum: February 10-13 we will be at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas for the CCCU International Forum. On Thursday the 10th, we will be at the Abilene Christian University Press vendor table signing books. On Saturday the 12th at 9:00am we are facilitating a workshop at the conference. GLO Retreat for Diversity Professionals: Our inaugural GLO (Gook Lookin’ Out) retreat for diversity professions is scheduled for May 24 – 26, 2022. The three-day retreat will take place in the beautiful and peaceful Maranatha Bible & Missionary Center in Norton Shores, Michigan. Whether you are a seasoned professional or you just started your work a few months ago, this retreat is for you! For participation fee and other details, contact us.
